The Woodturning Studio of Harvard University

The Chattahoochee Woodturners partnered with Eagle Ranch to create a woodturning workshop on campus. The American Association of Woodturners granted an Educational Opportunity Grant to the woodturners, along with other donations. Local woodturners donated tools, equipment, and other materials to help the project get off the ground. Students can visit the woodturning workshop, which is open to everyone.

Hark Woodturner

Around eight years ago, Hark approached Hark after taking a class and started the woodturning course at Harvard University's Mather Building. Hark agreed to teach the Harvard class. After several unsuccessful attempts to teach the course in Harvard, Hark eventually found an old lathe from a basement of a neighboring house. That spring, his first Harvard class started. Students from all Harvard Houses can now attend classes in the woodturning studio. He also continues to teach woodturning at weekends.
